    How to go beyond the basic shimmy and use the hips, shoulders and the whole body – head to toes – in unexpected moves.    
         
    Belly Dance Dialects    
    Explore the regional variations of Belly Dance, such as different rhythms, dancer's attitude, posture, emotional projection, etc. It is very important to interpret a regional dance with the “accent” of that region, besides using the correct movements and steps consistent with each style. (Ex: It would be inappropriate to use American style floor work with Classical Raqs Sharki music, or having a pasted on big smile while interpreting a Caucasian Armenian Women's Dance).    
         
    Mediterranean Sampler    
    Beginners and Intermediate Dancers enjoy getting a taste of dances from around the Mediterranean and Central Asia . Sometimes, a dancer discovers a new rhythm, and this revelation changes the course of their dance path. Dances explored may be from: Turkey , Lebanon , Morocco , Tunisia , Egypt , Iran , plus various fusion and interpretive styles inspired by traditional dances from those regions.

    Fire    
    Various manners of fire can be incorporated into your dance, SAFELY—from fire fans to balancing candles and flames. In Fire workshops, Samra teaches safety tips and technique for working with various forms of fire.    
         
    Fire or Candles Without Flames    
    Sometimes open flames are not permitted, or not an option for many reasons. Explore many other props that have the mesmerizing properties of fire without the inherent danger.    
         
    Control of Stage Fright    
    Although we never totally lose a bit of nervousness before a performance, it does not have to spoil the moment, or worse, keep a dancer from having this wonderful experience. Samra shares with you how she overcame her fear of performing, and takes you through steps to overcome your own fears or insecurities.    
         
    Veils    
    Single, Double, or more: Different fabrics have different properties, and these properties help a dancer better interpret specific styles of music. Samra discusses the best materials, sizes and shapes of veils for the desired effect, in addition to teaching cool moves, wraps, retrieval of the veil.
