and beloved around the world. Social samba and Carnaval samba may be
presented.
- Folk dances from Brazil - Includes "bumba-meu-boi",
Frevo, Dance of the Orixas, and Forro (predecessor of Lambada).
- Salsa - is an energetic and complex dance derived
from Mambo. Presentations can be made of choreographed Salsa, freestyle
social dance or partner dance.
- Merengue - Simple, but irresistible.
- Cumbia - Another popular social dance around South
and Central America. Popular in Hispanic USA .
- Mexican dances - Various regions of Mexico are represented.
For audience participation and for children the traditional "Hat
Dance" may be included.
